What E15 Is Telling You
Every Bosch dishwasher has a shallow tray under the tub with a foam float and a switch. When water pools in that tray, the float rises, the switch trips, and the control locks the machine into its protective state: the fill valve closes and the drain pump runs continuously. On the display that shows as E15, and it is the machine doing exactly what it should when it senses a leak.
The frustrating part is that E15 names the symptom, not the source. The water could be coming from a loose sump gasket, a cracked spray arm bearing, a failing door seal, a hose clamp that has relaxed, or condensation from a heavily loaded cycle. In hard-water homes around Cherry Hills Village, mineral scale on the sump seal is a common culprit, and so is a small split in the drain hose behind the cabinet.

Clearing E15 and When to Call
You can reset E15 by turning off the machine, gently tipping it back to drain the tray, and drying the pan with a towel. The code clears once the float drops. That is only a temporary step, though, because the water that filled the tray will return on the next cycle until the actual leak is repaired.
